About me.

I am a British, Canadian and Jamaican systems artist and designer based in Reading.

My work has developed across an Atlantic network of people, places and industries, from manufacturing relationships in China to technology, construction, hospitality and independent product development in Britain, Canada, the Caribbean and the United States.

I moved to Reading at fourteen and went looking for trade immediately. At about fifteen I was sold a batch of faulty BlackBerry phones; rather than sit on the loss, I learned to repair them, and that decision shaped everything after it, the Apple years from sixteen to nineteen as a technician, and eventually the manufacturing relationships that carry my work today. A decade in hospitality, over a hundred venues through my events business, taught me the most human space I have worked in.

I left formal education at sixteen after years of struggling with dyslexia that had not yet been properly identified or supported. I spent the following decade learning through work, technical training and independent projects; my years at Apple gave me access to intensive technical, service and online education, and independent making became the way I learned most effectively.

Studying again with formal dyslexia support changed what I understand to be possible for me. That progress now continues through serious studio practice, critical discussion and open experimentation.
